But the heart behind this project began much earlier. I still remember visiting Vietnam as a child and seeing kids my age begging in the streets. I didn’t know what to do with that feeling back then.
Years later in Morocco, a young boy asked for food. I bought him milk and bread, and he walked away smiling. That moment stayed with me.
Tiny Tales Expedition is our way of honoring those moments — to tell stories that spark compassion, and give back where it matters.

Meet the Family Behind Tiny Tales Expedition
Hi, we’re Anh and Jan. We’re two parents rediscovering the world through our kids’ eyes. Tiny Tales Expedition is our love letter to slow travel, cultural appreciation, and the values we hope to pass on.
Before parenthood, we visited more than 40 countries together, from Vietnam to Germany, Tanzania to the Maldives. Now, we are trading bucket lists for bedtime stories and learning to explore with more intention, one tiny footprint at a time.
- Paxton (4) → A quadlingual explorer who loves maps and asks big questions. He’s been to 13 countries.
- Kai (1) → Our joyful co-pilot with a passport full of stamps before his first birthday.
